Namaste, Tashidelek & Hello,
My name is Prem Lama and I am from a Himalayan country called Nepal. If you don't know where it is. It is sandwiched between Indian & Tibet. I am a Yoga & Dharma practitioner. Me and my wife (Kim) currently live in Door County, WI a beautiful place endowed with many natural wonders.
I own a Nepali Handmade shop called Himalayan Xpressions in Egg Harbor, WI since 2005. The idea behind the shop is simple, to provide much needed livelihood to Nepali artisans, who tirelessly create wonderful things. Even though it is small, we provide some help to remote mountain schools in Nepal as well buying stationaries to school supplies.
Also in spare time, I give a presentation called "Places & Faces of the Himalaya" via slide show to different schools here in North East Wisconsin. Since 2004, such presentation has been given more than a dozen times and it is growing. This presentation is very educational and what ever stipend I receive, I directly send to Nepal for Nepali children and for school supplies.
I also am a traveler. I like traveling therefore, I am organizing a group called Himalayan Experience 2010 for Nepal.
